Hans Dieler

Hans Dieler (born January 1941 in Opole , Upper Silesia ) is a German entrepreneur. He is the managing partner of Textilhaus Dieler GmbH & Co. KG in Gelsenkirchen.

Life

Dieler was born in mid-January as the oldest of nine children. After completing secondary school, he completed an apprenticeship as a retail salesman and studied at the training institute of the German textile retail trade in Nagold. In 1959 he joined the company Textilhaus Dieler, which his father Karl Dieler founded in Gelsenkirchen in 1945, as an assistant to the management . In 1972, together with his siblings, he became co-partners of the companies Textilhaus Dieler GmbH & Co. KG and Diegro Karl Dieler Großhandels-GmbH as well as Dieler Beteiligungs-GmbH & Co. KG . In 1983 Hans Dieler and his 3 brothers became managing directors in addition to their mother Luise Dieler. They have managed the group together since their father's death in 1976.

In addition to his entrepreneurial activity, he stood out through his voluntary commitment to professional issues. From 1969 to 2008 he was a member of the board of the Gelsenkirchen Retail Association and took over its chairmanship in 1984. On March 6, 2007, he was elected to succeed Hubert Ruthmann as President of the North Westphalia Chamber of Commerce and Industry and remained in this office until March 2010.
