Hans Gerhard

Hans Gerhard (born September 14, 1888 in Berlin ; † February 14, 1978 ) was a German politician ( FDP ). From 1950 to 1954 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Hans Gerhard trained as a municipal civil servant and from 1906 was in administrative service at the Gummersbach district office . From 1919 to 1923 Gerhard was first mayor in Neustadt-Orla in Thuringia, then until 1931 Lord Mayor of the Zella-Mehlis district in Thuringia. He was then mayor of the district town of Melle in the Osnabrück district, where he was removed from office in 1933. From 1934 to 1945 he was forcibly transferred to the mayor of Leichlingen (Rhineland) and then retired.

Gerhard joined the FDP in 1945. In the second electoral period he was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament via the state list and was a member of parliament from July 5, 1950 to July 4, 1954.
