Hans Haferkamp (politician)

Hans Haferkamp (born November 25, 1908 in Sterkrade ; † November 27, 1993 ) was a German SPD politician .

Life

Hans Haferkamp attended elementary school and the secondary school where he passed the school leaving examination. He studied English, history and sport at the universities of Bonn and Münster. He then did his doctorate in history as a Dr. phil. Haferkamp placed the 1st and 2nd phil. State examination. In 1948 he was a teacher in Brühl and from 1956 a senior teacher.

Hans Haferkamp was a member of the FDP from 1954 to 1958. In 1960 he joined the SPD. He was elected to the city council of Brühl in 1965. From 1956 to 1958 he was a member of the district council.

From July 25, 1966 to July 25, 1970, Hans Haferkamp was a directly elected member of the 6th State Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for constituency 013 Cologne-Land II.
