Hans IX. of Validlingen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hans IX. von Validlingen († 1514) was a Württemberg treasurer.

Live and act

Hans IX. von Validlingen was married to Helene von Speth († 1512). Together with her he founded the sacrament house of the Laurentiuskirche in Berneck near Altensteig in the Black Forest . In this there is also a beautiful alliance coat of arms Validlingen ∞ Speth.

Hans IX. was, as far as is known, the first baron of Validlingen to be awarded the rank of Chamberlain of Wuerttemberg, perhaps by Duke Eberhard im Bart when Wuerttemberg was elevated to duchy (1495).

After his death, Hans was buried next to his wife, who had died two years earlier, in the choir of the Maria Reuthin monastery church in Wildberg .
