Hans Konrad Mosis

Hans Konrad Mosis (born December 11, 1645 in Basel ; † September 28, 1691 there ) worked like his father as a barber and surgeon .

In the political unrest of 1691, the so-called 1691 essence, he was one of the leaders of an opposition movement that achieved a temporary purge of the oligarchic regime and a constitutional revision. After the split in the movement and its subsequent suppression, Mosis was sentenced to death with his brother-in-law Johannes Fatio and Johannes Müller and beheaded on the market square.
