Hans Werner from Dewall

Hans Werner von Dewall (born September 14, 1901 in Celle ; † March 24, 1974 ) was a German industrialist.

Life

Hans Werner von Dewall studied mining in Berlin and was a member of the Corps Vandalia there . After his exams and doctorate, he entered the Prussian Ministry of Trade and Industry and from there came to the state-owned mining company Hibernia AG in Herne. Later he was a mountain burr at the Saarbrücken mine management. After the Second World War, he joined the board of Hibernia AG in 1948 and became its chairman in 1952. Under his leadership, the previously pure mining company was converted into an energy company, which later formed the core of VEBA (today E.ON ). Dewall was also a member of the board at VEBA.

Dewall was the general expert for coal in the German delegation for the Schuman Plan .
