Hans von Lindenau was a German landowner and politician from the Electorate of Saxony. He was in the possession of several manors and emerged as a founder.


In 1579, Hans von Lindenau took over from Tham Pflug as the supervisor of the County of Mansfeld . At the same time he was an official or captain of Sangerhausen .

In 1586 he acquired Ottendorf on the edge of the eastern Ore Mountains . In 1591 he donated the money for the complete furnishings of the church there .

In 1581 Hans von Lindenau was taken over by Lucas Cranach the Elder. J. portrayed. The painting is on loan in the Meissen Cathedral .
