Harald Glahn

Harald Glahn (born July 2, 1942 ) is a former German pastor, politician ( FDP ) and State Secretary in Rhineland-Palatinate.

biography

Harald Glahn grew up in Dellfeld . After attending school, he studied Protestant theology and education at the University of Mainz . He then entered the church service and was a pastor in Ludwigshafen .

Glahn moved to the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate in 1974. His areas of work were adult education and later, as a consultant in the Ministry of Culture, education in broadcasting companies ( Telekolleg ).

From 1993 until his retirement in 2004 he was State Secretary in the Rhineland-Palatinate Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Economics. His fields of activity during this time included the establishment of the East Asia Institute at the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences , technology policy and agricultural policy.

Party and politics

Glahn was district chairman of the FDP from 1978 to 2008. He held a seat on the Ludwigshafen city council from 1989 to 1994 and again from 1999 to 2012.
