Dellfeld is a municipality in the Südwestpfalz district in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Zweibrücken-Land .
geography
Dellfeld is located in the Schwarzbachtal , between the Sickinger Höhe to the north and the Zweibrücker hill country .
The community consists of the districts Dellfeld and Falkenbusch and the residential areas Weihershof and Ziegelhütte.
history
Dellfeld was first mentioned in 1295 as Dellenvelt . It always followed in its territorial affiliation Pfalz-Zweibrücken . An inn was built at the junction to Pirmasens in 1840, from which the Falkenbusch district developed after the construction of the railway between Zweibrücken and Landau .

Transport and infrastructure
Before the A 8 was built , the B 10 ran through Falkenbusch , which has now been downgraded to a country road on this section .
The Landau – Rohrbach railway line has existed in its current form since 1895 . There is a train station in Falkenbusch, and a local stop in Dellfeld.
