Rosenkopf is a municipality in the district of Südwestpfalz in Rhineland-Palatinate . It belongs to the community of Zweibrücken-Land .
geography
Rosenkopf is located in the west of the district, near the border with Saarland. West is Bechhofen , north Lambsborn , southeast Wiesbachhorn and southwest Käshofen .
history
Rosenkopf came in 1589 in exchange from the Sickingen rule of Landstuhl to Pfalz-Zweibrücken . At the end of the 18th century, the place belonged to the Oberamt Homburg. 1920, moved from the district office Homburg for district office two bridges .

Economy and Infrastructure
The state road 465 leads through Rosenkopf. There is a connection to long-distance traffic via the nearby Waldmohr and Bruchmühlbach-Miesau driveways of the A 6 .
Rosenkopf is part of the Rhein-Neckar transport association . The line 232 of the bus company Regionalbus Saar-Westpfalz connects Rosenkopf on weekdays with the nearest train station, Bruchmühlbach-Miesau on the Mannheim – Saarbrücken railway line , as well as with Zweibrücken central station on the Landau – Rohrbach railway line and Homburg (Saar) central station in Saarland.
