coat of arms
Blazon : "Split by silver and black, divided on the right by a red wavy bar, above a blue uncial capital letter M, underneath a red millstone, on the left a red-armored, tongued and crowned golden lion."
It was awarded in 1980 by the Rheinhessen-Pfalz district government . |
|
Justification of the coat of arms: The front half of the shield refers to former manors in Höhmühlbach. The letter M refers to the Madonna that Wörschweiler Monastery had in its seal. The Counts of Saar Werden had a red bar and a red ball in their coat of arms. A wavy beam and a millstone have been slightly modified to represent the place name in an eloquent way. The rear half of the shield shows the Wittelsbach lion of Pfalz-Zweibrücken . Rieschweiler had its own mayor's office in their duchy . |
