geography

Käshofen is located in the west of the district, right on the border with Saarland. West is Homburg , northeast Rosenkopf , southeast Kleinbundenbach in southwest Kirrberg and Morsbach . The Etzenbachermühle residential area also belongs to Käshofen .

history

Käshofen was first mentioned in a document in 1198. 1920, moved from the district office Homburg for district office two bridges .

Municipal council

The council in Käshofen consists of twelve council members, who in the local elections on May 26, 2019 in a majority vote were elected, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Egon Gilbert became the local mayor of Käshofen on June 25, 2019. In the direct election on May 26, 2019, he was elected for five years with 57.43% of the vote. Gilbert's predecessor, Klaus Martin Weber, who did not want to run again, took over the office in 2015 after the resignation of long-time mayor Karl Hoffmann.
