Harald Grethe

Harald Grethe (born March 25, 1965 ) is a German agricultural scientist .

Life

Grethe studied agricultural sciences at the University of Göttingen , where he also received his doctorate in 2004. Later he headed the department for agricultural and food policy at the University of Hohenheim . Since 2008 he has been a professor at the Humboldt University in Berlin , where he heads the department “International Agricultural Trade and Development”.

In 2013 Grethe was appointed chairman of the scientific advisory board "Agricultural Policy, Nutrition and Consumer Health Protection" of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture .
