The Harley-Davidson Servi-Car was a motorized tricycle from the American manufacturer Harley-Davidson , which was built from 1932 to 1973 without interruption. At 42 years old, it is the manufacturer's longest-running model.

The concept of the Servi-Car goes back to the motorcycle with a sidecar , which was already used for commercial purposes in the USA during the First World War . The Servi-Car was mainly ordered from auto repair shops, as only one mechanic was needed to bring back customer vehicles. There were also police demonstrations. Until 1963, the Servi-Car was delivered with a standard tow bar; This enabled the Servi-Car to be attached to the customer vehicle upon delivery. In addition, the rear wall and the side walls of the box structure provided space for advertising.

In 1959 the front fork was revised, and in 1964 the Servi-Car was the first Harley-Davidson model to have an electric starter. The engine remained the same over the entire production period with 743 cm³ and is the longest engine produced by Harley-Davidson. In the 1960s, the sheet metal box with screwed-on fenders was replaced with a plastic box. The rear brake was developed in several steps from a single brake drum mounted in the center of the axle (until 1937) to the disc brakes of the last models from 1973. With the introduction of the telescopic fork, the front cable-operated handbrake on the Springer fork was replaced with a hydraulically operated drum brake, which significantly improved the braking effect. The last models from 1973 even got a front disc brake.

There are no precise documents about the production figures of the Servi-Car, but around 1,000 units are said to have been built annually. 1941 is said to have been  the highest production with 1,159 units - at a price of 510 US dollars . The colors “Skyway blue”, “Cruiser green”, “Flight red” and “Brilliant black” were available.
