Hasdrubal (son of Hannos)

Hasdrubal ( Punic 'zrb'l "my help is Baal ") was a Carthaginian general. He was the son of Hannos and one of the three Carthaginian military leaders whom Marcus Atilius Regulus conquered near Adys near Tunis . Hasdrubal was born in 254 BC. Sent to Sicily with important armed forces , but there by the proconsul Lucius Caecilius Metellus in 250 BC. At Panormus , today's Palermo , struck. Because of his defeat, Hasdrubal was sentenced to death in absentia by the Puners.
