Main shut-off device
A main shut-off device (HAE) is a shut-off valve that is installed at the beginning of a distribution network in order to manually interrupt the flow of gas or water if necessary.
In the domestic water connection , the shut-off is now a shut- off valve , in the gas connection it is a ball valve that is part of the gas house entry . Since the responsibility for the two shut-off valves lies with the local energy supplier , both valves are colloquially known as the city tap because the water used to be shut off with a tap.
Main shut-off devices are needed in order to be able to carry out expansion, maintenance and repair work in the following networks.
