Main axis
Major axis and minor axis stand for:
- the connecting lines of the vertices of the ellipse, see semiaxes of the ellipse
- the connection of the two vertices of a hyperbola, see hyperbola (mathematics)
- in astronomy with Kepler ellipses the orbit axis
- the axes of inertia, axes of rotation of a spatial body, see main axis of inertia
