Main cornice height

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The main cornice height (HGH) is occasionally used in development plans to determine the building height in accordance with Section 18 of the Building Use Ordinance (BauNVO).

The main cornice height is the outer cutting edge between rising masonry and the outer surface of the roof skin of a building. The reference point of the established HGH and the maximum ridge height is the upper edge of the finished street surface at the level of the house entrance, in the case of semi-detached houses the upper edge of the finished street surface at the level of the shared property boundary (house partition).
