The main street is the central street of the Lower Franconian wine-growing village of Abtswind .

It leads from the western to the eastern gate of the former market fortification. About in the middle of the street it opens up to a market place. The image of the street is characterized by gable-end, two-story winegrowers and farms from the 18th and 19th centuries. The village's Protestant parish church was built north of the main street in the corner of the market square. The two market gates, which were built in 1605 with the construction of the fortification, form the end of the main street. The western gate reminds of the old ownership with the coats of arms of the Counts of Castell and the Cistercian monastery of Ebrach .

Hauptstraße is included in the Bavarian list of monuments as the ensemble Hauptstraße Abtswind .
