House Brenschede
House Brenschede was a knight's seat in today's Bochum district of Wiemelhausen . It was located in the headwaters of the Lottental in the Brenscheder Heide.
The house emerged from a fortified courtyard in 1456 . This was followed by changing feudal relationships before it became free ownership in 1817. At the turn of the 19th / 20th In the 19th century the building, in the immediate vicinity of which several mines were built, was converted into a restaurant. During the Second World War , Haus Brenschede was destroyed by bombs in 1943.
