Lindenlaub house in Mosbach

The Lindenlaub house is a half-timbered house on the market square in Mosbach in the Neckar-Odenwald district in northern Baden-Württemberg .

history

The building was erected in 1589. From the 19th century, the Humbert family ran a grocery and grocery store in the building. In 1869, the owners of the Badische Gemeindeversicherung were required to have the house plastered for fire protection reasons. Following the taste of the times, the half-timbered structure was exposed again around 1900. After the Humbert family emigrated to America in the 1920s, the Schneider siblings moved into the building and opened a hat shop.

The Lindenlaub house is a three-storey half-timbered building with slightly protruding half-timbered floors on a solidly bricked ground floor, facing the market square.
