Siemensstrasse house

The Siemensstrasse house is a temporary residential building for homeless men at Siemensstrasse 109 in the 21st Viennese district of Floridsdorf with around 235 residential units and was built to replace the Meldemannstrasse men's dormitory .

The building was erected according to plans by the architects Gruss & Gruss, after they were unanimously chosen as the winners in an architecture competition invited from among three competitors. The official opening took place on March 5, 2004, with the former residents of the Meldemannstrasse building already being relocated at the beginning of November 2003.
