House Weber (Düsseldorf)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Weber house, front with fountain square

The Weber house , at the old mill 5 in Düsseldorf-Kalkum , was built in 1951 by Helmut Hentrich and Hans Heuser together with the landscape architect Roland Weber in the tradition of the homeland security style of the 1930s. The house is single-storey, has white plastered masonry and ends with a gable roof. There is a large window area on the garden side. The “garden room”, an unglazed room, opens onto a rectangular water basin in front of it.

The listed house is typical of the settlement on the edge of the historic village center of Kalkum.
