Haute maison in Woippy

The Haute Maison (dt. High House ) in Woippy , a French commune in the Moselle department in the historic Lorraine region , was built in the 15th century on the south-west corner of the village.

The 14 meter high donjon is supported by a mighty buttress on the corner and is crowned with battlements .

Franz Xaver Kraus writes: “... Gothic windows coupled on the first floor. On the second floor there is a large hall with six very simple windows (mid-15th century). "

The defense tower was converted into a residential building, with new windows and a garage installed.
