The Hayachine Quasi National Park ( English for Hayachine kokutei kōen , Japanese 早 池 峰 国 定 公園 ) is a quasi national park in the Japanese prefecture of Iwate . It was designated in 1982 and is 54.63 km² in size. Mount Hayachine, one of the highest peaks in Iwate, is the namesake of the park. With the IUCN Category II, the park area is classified as a national park . Iwate Prefecture is responsible for the management of the park.
