Haydn Complete Edition

The Haydn Complete Edition of Joseph Haydn Works is published by the Joseph Haydn Institute in Cologne and is published by G. Henle Verlag in Munich . The Haydn Institute was founded in 1955 by Jens Peter Larsen and other Haydn researchers together with the publisher Günter Henle specifically for the purpose of developing the complete edition. The aim of the edition is to make all works by the composer Joseph Haydn accessible in print for the first time in a historical-critical edition .

The edition is laid out in 114 volumes, which are divided into 32 series of works. If possible, the works are arranged chronologically within each row. Supplements and registers as well as a catalog raisonné and a new edition of Haydn's letters are planned as further series. The first volume was published in 1958, the last is expected to come out in 2018 [obsolete] .
