Healthcare CRM

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Healthcare CRM , also known as Healthcare Relationship Management, is a widely used term for a customer relationship management system, or CRM , in healthcare. There are two different types of CRM systems for healthcare : one is for a healthcare organization to be in effective contact with their patients, and the other is for a healthcare organization to stay in contact with the referring healthcare facility.

There are two types of CRM for healthcare because healthcare organizations can use two different channels to generate new patients. The first way is the patient's choice. People who are sick, injured, need a dentist, or need a care provider in some way can find one who meets their needs. Health organizations want to attract new patients or maintain patient contacts, which is why they use a health CRM to manage this relationship. These can be tasks such as sending appointment reminders or birthday cards.

The second way healthcare organizations use to generate patients is through referring healthcare providers. If z. For example, if a person goes to a dentist and that person needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, the dentist can refer that patient to an oral surgeon. Many hospitals and a large number of specialist clinics are heavily dependent on referrals. Hospitals and specialist clinics use a health CRM to maintain or strengthen relationships with general practitioners or other referring health organizations.

A health-specific CRM differs from traditional CRM systems mainly in three ways:

  1. Healthcare CRM systems are designed to function within the unique structure of a healthcare organization. In the case of a generic CRM system, for example, it is assumed that all persons it stores can only be assigned to one organization at any time. However, doctors often work in multiple healthcare facilities. Generic CRM systems require extensive adjustments to meet the requirements of healthcare organizations.
  2. Healthcare CRM systems automatically standardize and reconcile data from laboratory information systems (LIS), invoices, deliveries, courier services, debtors and other sources. Generic CRM systems expect significant manual input from healthcare workers.
  3. Healthcare CRM systems in the United States are designed to be HIPPA compliant and provide secure collaboration to meet healthcare needs.

There are some companies that offer CRM for healthcare. These are the industry leaders for the two types of CRM for healthcare.
