The Hebei University of the North (河北 北方 学院, Pinyin : Héběi Běifāng Xuéyuàn ), known in the English-speaking world as Hebei North University (abbreviation: HebeiNU), is located in the city of Zhangjiakou , in the north of the Chinese province of Hebei .

history

It was founded in 2003 when three former provincial universities were merged into a new unit:

  1. Zhangjiakou Medical College (ZJKMC) (Medicine)
  2. Zhangjiakou Teachers College (ZJKMC) (teaching degree)
  3. Zhangjiakou Advanced Postsecondary Agriculture School (ZJKAPAS) (Agricultural Sciences)

There are 26 departments with 15,000 students. So far, this university has trained 50,000 students from 29 countries and regions.

The library has a total of one million volumes. The university has an attached hospital.
