Lever press

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In one-armed lever presses a lever acts by the lever rule either by hanging weights, stones or by wedge, screw or hand pressure ( sealing press ) directly on the press plate or the lever serves as a manual drive for the piston of a hydraulic cylinder for generating the oil pressure of the Press (Bramah Press). In so-called toggle presses, a toggle lever works in conjunction with a screw drive .

Olive oil - presses and historical printing presses operate on the principle of one-armed lever presses.
