Hedwig Petrides

Hedwig Petrides (born April 20, 1950 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). She has been a member of the State Parliament and a member of the Vienna City Council since 2003 .

After attending primary and secondary school, Hedwig Petrides completed an apprenticeship as a hairdresser and beautician and passed the master's examination. She has been self-employed since 1983 . From 1970 Petrides worked politically in the SPÖ Leopoldstadt , Section 19, and was heavily involved in district politics. She was a section women's officer and has been the section chairman since 2002. Since 1993 she has been a member of the SPÖ-Leopoldstadt District Women's Committee, which she has headed since 2003. From 1994 to 2003 she was a district councilor in the district council. In 2003 she moved to the state parliament and local council. In the 18th legislative period, she is a member of the “Housing, Housing and Urban Renewal” committee.

Hedwig Petrides has been married since 1969 and has one son.
