Hot work

Hot work is an activity in which mechanical or thermal work creates a fire hazard. This can happen through heating of the workpiece or the immediate environment as well as flying sparks .

Hot work includes, for example, work with a one-hand angle grinder , welding , soldering . In companies and public buildings, this hot work must be registered and monitored in accordance with the fire protection regulations . This is usually done by either the fire brigade or the plant security .
