Heico Nickelmann
Heico Nickelmann (born December 30, 1966 in Essen ) is a German rock musician and songwriter from Raesfeld .
Life
Music career
In 1988 Nickelmann founded Shop Suey with two friends and performed for the first time in front of a larger audience in Raesfeld. This was followed by other medium-sized concerts with moderate success.
In 1991 Nickelmann began working with the band if mother cooks . Nickelmann went on tours several times with if mother cooks and also presented his own songs in German. In 1996 the cooperation was ended.
Nickelmann was able to achieve national fame as a solo artist for the first time by winning the BOH Rock Goes East radio competition , in which he presented a song from his debut album Nickelmann .
In 2000 he gave up his band Nickelmann and began to work on his first pure solo album, which he released in 2001. This includes, among other things, the song Rebecca , which helped him to gain national fame and was played on various radio stations . In the following three years Nickelmann gave well over 200 live concerts, from which he finally produced a live album in 2004.
In 2011 the double album appeared so far so good .
After a long break, Nickelmann released the album Jetzt und hier in December 2015 .
