List of rose varieties |
The shrub rose Heidetraum , syn. 'NOATraum' was introduced by breeder Werner Noack in 1989 as a cross between 'Immensee' × 'Amanda'. It is also marketed as the 'Flower Carpet' in English-speaking countries. 'Heidetraum' is a permanently blooming, compact and robust rose variety that can be used as a small climbing rose, as a ground cover, on a high trunk or as a small shrub in a border.
properties
Its flowers are in umbels of up to 20 and develop from red buds that bloom crimson to pink. The flowers are loosely double and pale purple-pink. The rose's glossy dark green leaves are inherited from Rosa wichuraiana ; they are resistant to powdery mildew , rose rust and star soot . "With the health of this rose, the breeder Noack wrote rose history."
In 1997 Noack brought the lighter sport 'Sommermelodie' onto the market, which has the same varietal characteristics except for the flower color.
