Heiko Becker

Heiko Becker (* 1954 in Gießen ) is a German communication designer and graphic artist from Darmstadt .

Live and act

After training as a typesetter at the Allgemeine Zeitung in Gießen, Becker began studying communication design at Darmstadt University in 1977. He successfully completed his studies as a communication designer in 1981.

After graduating, Heiko Becker worked as Junior Art Director at Young & Rubicam and then as Art Director at Lürzer, Conrad and Leo Burnett in Frankfurt am Main. Between 1983 and 1996, Becker was a lecturer in typography, illustration and computer graphics at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and had lectureships in typography at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences.

Heiko Becker has been working as a freelance communications designer in Darmstadt since 1996. The focus of his work lies in the areas of corporate identity , development of logotypes, marketing and design concepts, conception, design and realization of exhibitions such as "Architecture, Design and Teaching" for the Institute for New Technical Form, Darmstadt. Becker and his agency for media design - Lichtenberg UG are based in Darmstadt's Martinsviertel.
