Brigitte
Brigitte is a female given name .
Origin and meaning
The name is derived from the Irish-Celtic deity Brigid or the British-Celtic deity Brigantia or from Saint Brigida of Kildare . The Celtic names Brigid and Brigantia mean "the sublime".
distribution
At the beginning of the 20th century, the name Brigitte was not very popular in Germany. From the mid-twenties onwards, more and more children were called Brigitte.
