Brigitte Wolf (designer)

Brigitte Wolf (* 1951 in Goslar ) is a German designer and university lecturer.

Life

From 1970 to 1975 she studied industrial design at the State University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig. Then from 1976 to 1978 he studied psychology at the Technical University in Braunschweig. In 1981 Brigitte Wolf did her doctorate at the University of Kassel. phil. 1992–2007 she was professor for design management at KISD , Cologne International School of Design , Cologne University of Applied Sciences. Wolf has been a member of the advisory board of the Lucerne School of Art and Design since 2004. From 2007 to 2017 she was Professor of Design Theory, with a focus on methodology, planning and strategic design at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal

Among other things, she worked in the development department of Rowenta-Werke GmbH in Offenbach, has been head of the Design Management module in the NDS course, Digital Design and Management, at the Lucerne University of Art and Design (Switzerland) since 2005 and was acting and technical director in 1991 and managing director of the German Design Council in Frankfurt am Main. In 1987 she worked as a visiting professor at the Instituto Superior de Diseño Industrial in Havana ( Cuba ).

She organizes the Design Management Forum and the Sustainable Summer School.

Awards

  • 1999 Awarded the title "Professor Invitado" from the Cuban Design School, Instituto Superior de Diseño, (ISDI) in Havana (Cuba)
