Pirko Kristin Zinnow

Pirko Kristin Zinnow (born February 18, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German political scientist and civil servant for the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. From October 2013 to August 2017 she was State Secretary for Federal Affairs and authorized representative of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the federal government . Since January 1, 2018 she has been director of the State Palaces, Gardens and Art Collections in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Life

After graduating from high school in 1983, Pirko Kristin Zinnow studied political science and journalism in Washington, DC and Hamburg between 1983 and 1990 . After a position as a research assistant at the Free University of Berlin (1990–1995) and her doctorate (1995), she was press spokeswoman for the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Ministry of Culture (1995–1997) and deputy campaign manager at the SPD state executive committee of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (1997–1997) 1998).

Between 1998 and 2001 the political scientist was the personal advisor to Prime Minister Harald Ringstorff . Zinnow is married and has one child.
