Wilhelm Staudacher

Wilhelm Staudacher (born August 25, 1945 in Altdorf near Nuremberg ) is a German political official . Until April 2011 he headed the Italian representative office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung eV (KAS) in Rome. From August 1, 1999 to November 2008, he was Secretary General of the KAS. From 1994 to 1999 he headed the Federal President's Office under Federal President Roman Herzog .

Staudacher studied law at the University of Würzburg from 1965 to 1969 . In 1973 he passed his second state examination in law in Munich. In 1979 he became federal manager of the Evangelical Working Group (EAK) of the CDU / CSU. In 1983 he became head of the main political department in the CDU federal office and in 1991 federal manager of the CDU in Germany. In 1993 he moved to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania , where he became State Secretary and the State's representative at the federal level. In 1994 Roman Herzog appointed him head of the office of the Federal President .
