Antje Draheim

Antje Draheim (born November 2, 1970 in Rostock ) is a German politician (SPD) and representative of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the federal government .

Life

After graduating from high school, Draheim studied law in Potsdam and Tübingen . The legal traineeship in Tübingen and Brussels was followed by the 2nd state examination . She then did her doctorate at the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer .

There she also worked as a research assistant. From 2003 to 2012 Draheim worked at the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg . In 2012 she moved to the Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. After the ministries were redesigned as a result of the state elections in 2016 , she took over the “Youth and Family” department in the Ministry for Social Affairs, Integration and Equality of the State of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.

Since June 4, 2019, Antje Draheim has been State Secretary for Federal Affairs and authorized representative of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania at the federal government. She is the successor to Bettina Martin , who was appointed Minister of Education.
