politics

Change of party

On May 7, 2007, Gitte Seeberg founded the liberal- centrist party “New Alliance” ( Ny alliance , today Liberal Alliance ) together with MEP Anders Samuelsen and the Folketing MP Naser Khader (both formerly Det Radliche Venstre ). The reason she gave was that she could no longer approve of the cooperation between the Conservative Party and the right-wing populist Danish People's Party . After the Folketing election in 2007 , she returned to the Folketing for the New Alliance.

Gitte Seeberg left the alliance on January 29, 2008 because, in her opinion, the start-up had developed in the wrong political direction. She remained a non-attached MP until she gave up her mandate on July 8, 2008 to become Secretary General of WWF Denmark.
