Brigitte Oertli (born June 10, 1962 in Egg ) is a former Swiss ski racer .

biography

Initially, Brigitte Oertli only won, u. between four times, in combination ratings - and another 17 podium places, before she was able to win two individual races in the 1987/88 season, starting with the slalom on January 18, 1988 in Saas-Fee.

At the 1988 Olympic Games in Calgary , she won silver in the downhill (behind Marina Kiehl ) and in the alpine combination (behind Anita Wachter ). At the 1989 World Ski Championships in Vail (USA), she won the bronze medal in Alpine Combined behind Tamara McKinney and Vreni Schneider .

Brigitte Oertli has won nine world cup races in her career, seven of which are combined rankings. She is one of the few athletes who was able to achieve podium places in downhill, slalom, giant slalom , super-G and in the alpine combination. In total, she was four times combination World Cup winner. She also won a parallel slalom in Bormio on December 22, 1987, which was only part of the Nations Cup .

After a less successful season, she retired from active ski racing in 1990.
