National team

In 1995 and 1997 she played ten games with the Danish U-21 team , including the Nordic Cup . It wasn't until two and a half years later that she was used for the first time in the senior national team: on March 12, 2000, she made her first international match in the 1-0 draw against Sweden in the Algarve Cup and was in the starting line-up. She also played the next three tournament games as well as the following two games in qualifying for the 2001 European Championship . But then there was a break until the next Algarve Cup , in which the Danes finished second after losing 3-0 in the final against Sweden. She was also used in all games in the European Championship finals that followed shortly afterwards , in which she again lost out to Sweden in the semi -finals . In the following four years she always took part in the Algarve Cup, but could no longer reach the final. On April 20, 2002, she scored the 1-0 opening goal with her only international goal in a 4-1 win against Switzerland . Another highlight was participation in the 2005 European Women's Football Championship , where the Danes were eliminated in third place after a draw against Sweden, a win against hosts England and a loss against newcomer Finland due to a direct comparison with the Finns. This was followed by an international break of 15 months and, after only one game, another six-month break. It was not until the Algarve Cup 2007 that it was used again in every game except a friendly against Germany, and at the Algarve Cup it only lost to world champion Germany , who was only eighth in this edition, and in the final against the USA . She was then nominated for the 2007 World Cup and used in the three group matches. Since only the game against Oceania champions New Zealand was won, but the other two games against hosts China and Brazil were lost, the Danes were eliminated. After the World Cup she was used in three games. Their last game was the first leg in qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Games against Sweden, which the two teams had to contest for the last European starting place after the preliminary round at the World Cup. The Danes lost 4-2 at their home in Viborg , their only defeat in Viborg to date. In the 1: 3 lost second leg, which caused the Danes to finally miss the Olympic Games, they were no longer used.
