Heilbronner General-Anzeiger

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Heilbronner General-Anzeiger was a daily newspaper in Heilbronn that appeared from 1860 to February 28, 1934. The newspaper had a "Christian-national orientation" and became the press organ of the citizens' party founded in 1919.

history

The paper probably originated from the Heilbronner Anzeiger of the Treudt and Güldig printing company and came into the possession of Kraemer & Schell (Schell'sche Buchdruckerei and Verlag), the editors of the competing Neckar newspaper , in 1887 . Viktor Kraemer senior acquired the entire Schell'schen Verlag in 1898 and thus became the sole owner. After suffering a stroke in 1902, his son of the same name Viktor Kraemer junior (1881–1937) was co-editor. The will of the father, who died in 1911, provided for the division and sale of the company in 1917. Kraemer junior acquired the publishing house. In the 1920s, his youngest brother Theodor was also named as the editor. After the sheet was taken over by the Heilbronner Tagblatt on February 28, 1934 , Richard Drauz , who had been publishing director of the Heilbronner Tagblatt since 1932, stopped publishing on March 1, 1934 .

The editors were Otto Kienzle (born November 29, 1866 - April 14, 1945) from 1896 to 1926 and Kuno Achleitner (born September 24, 1886 in Munich; † November 1967 in Stuttgart) from 1927 to 1933. The editors were Hede Haschke and Otto Philippi. Emil Kühle was temporarily a freelancer.
