The Heilbrunnen or sometimes also Heiligenbrunnen in the municipality of Windeck in the North Rhine-Westphalian Rhein-Sieg district is located under the village of Ohmbach in the direction of Igelshof.

According to legend, a noble daughter is said to have taken a last rest in front of the Herchen monastery here. She was blinded, according to one version, because her father had blinded a mean for a minor offense . After enjoying the water, she became able to see, and the abbess of the Herchen monastery then had the spring bordered. According to this legend, further miraculous healings should have happened through the Born.

Watercourse

After a few meters the spring flows into the depths of the Heilbrunnensiefen. This in turn joins the Igelsbach between Werfermühle and Igelshof, which is an orographically left tributary of the Sieg .
