The Holy Vvedensky Cathedral ( Russian Свято-Введенский собор ) is a Russian Orthodox cathedral in the city of Karagandy in Kazakhstan . The construction of the sacred building began in 1991 and it was opened on May 2, 1998.

On July 14, 1991, the place on which the church was to be built was consecrated and the foundation stone was laid. Two years later the golden domes were completed. As early as 1995, Easter was celebrated in the incomplete cathedral . On July 19, 1995, the head of the Russian Orthodox Church, Patriarch Alexius II , visited the construction site.

The cathedral is shaped like Noah's Ark .
