The sanctuary of truth is located on Naklua Soi 12 in the district of Naklua ( Naklua - salt fields) of the city of Pattaya in the district ( Amphoe ) Bang Lamung of the province of Chonburi in the eastern part of central Thailand .

History and meaning

The largest wooden building complex in the country (construction started in 1981) is decorated with elaborate carvings and shows mythological figures from various religions and cultures. The artworks from Thai, Khmer, Lao and Chinese cultures are a reminder of the architecture and art style of the Rattanakosin Age . The structure is 105 meters high, has an approximate length of almost 100 meters, a floor area of ​​approximately two Rai and is located in a park with an area of ​​70 Rai. A few more decades are planned for completion.

The project was the brainchild of business people Lek Wiriyaphan and his wife Prapai, who also designed the Erawan Museum and Mueang Boran (Ancient City).
