history

In the past, Mueang Bang Lamung was located in Ban Bang Lamung, Tambon Bang Lamung. Bang Lamung later became a district with its administrative building on the banks of the Khlong Nok Yang. When Khlong Nok Yang was no longer suitable for water transport, the district chief Phraya Sattaya Nukun (Choem) moved the administration building to the coast in Tambon Na Kluea in 1909 . On October 21, 1952, the administration building was completely destroyed by a storm. A temporary office was initially set up at Bang Lamung School on Thanon Sukhumvit (Sukhumvit Street). In 1953, a new building was built on the school premises with government funds. It is still there today.
