Amphoe Bo Thong ( Thai : อำเภอ บ่อ ทอง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Chonburi Province . The Chonburi Province is located in the east of the central region of Thailand .

geography

The neighboring Amphoe are clockwise from the north: Amphoe Ko Chan of Chonburi Province, Amphoe Tha Takiap of Chachoengsao Province , Amphoe Kaeng Hang Maeo of Chanthaburi Province , Amphoe Khao Chamao and Wang Chan of Rayong Province, and Amphoe Nong Yai , Ban Bueng and Phanat Nikhom again from Chonburi Province.

history

Bo Thong was originally a tambon from Phanat Nikhom district . On December 16, 1978, he was promoted to a "Branch Circle" King Amphoe . On March 16, 1985, Bo Thong received full Amphoe status.

There are two municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

Bo Thong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ่อ ทอง ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Bo Thong, Wat Suwan.
That Thong (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ธาตุทอง ) consisting of the complete Tambon That Thong.

There are also five " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

Phluang Thong (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล พลวง ทอง ) consisting of the complete tambon Phluang Thong.
