Amphoe Wang Chan ( Thai : อำเภอ วัง จันทร์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the northern part of Rayong Province . Rayong Province is located in the east of the central region of Thailand .

Neighboring districts (clockwise from the east): the Amphoe Khao Chamao , Klaeng , Mueang Rayong , Ban Khai and Amphoe Pluak Daeng of Rayong Province, and the Amphoe Nong Yai and Bo Thong of Chonburi Province .

history

Wang Chan County was established on November 6, 1977, initially as a "Branch County" ( King Amphoe ) , by separating the two Tambon Chum Saeng and Wang Chan from Klaeng District . On July 19, 1991, he received full amphoe status.

There is one municipality with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Chum Saeng (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ชุมแสง ) consisting of the parts of the Tambon Chum Saeng, Phlong Ta Iam.

There are also four " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)

  • Wang Chan (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล วัง จันทร์ ) consisting of the complete tambon Wang Chan.
  • Chum Saeng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ชุมแสง ) consisting of parts of the Tambon Chum Saeng.
  • Pa Yup Nai (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ป่า ยุบ ใน ) consisting of the complete tambon Pa Yup Nai.
  • Phlong Ta Iam (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล พ ลง ตา เอี่ยม ) consisting of parts of the tambon Phlong Ta Iam.
