Home table

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The home table is a tabular, ordered ranking in which certain sports teams, especially soccer teams, are recorded according to the points scored from home games. Home tables cannot be used as an overview of the level of play, because they only show half of the games. For the other games, an away table is often made at the same time . This is why home tables are only used as illustrative material and are particularly popular with away tables in special sections of certain newspapers to provide additional information, especially about the German Bundesliga .

If you compare the home table with the away table, you notice above all that almost all teams have scored significantly more points in home games , which is related to the so-called home advantage .

In addition to the score, the home table also often shows the number of games and the goal difference.
